Essential Information

Here you will find useful information to help you get the most out of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

Park Maps and Daily Times Guide
Found throughout each Theme Park, use these maps to help plan your visit. Maps display locations of all attractions, entertainment, dining and shopping throughout the Park with information on Guest Services.  There is also a Daily Times Guide which will advise parade and show times plus character greeting information.


First Aid
There is a First Aid Station available in each Theme Park. A resident nurse is on duty who can dispense aspirin and bandages and handle sudden illnesses. 


Lockers
For your convenience, lockers may be rented for a small fee to store items during your visits to the Theme Parks.


Stroller Rentals
Strollers are available for rent. Quantities are limited and subject to availability. The stroller rental fee is $10.00 per day* for a single-passenger stroller and $18.00 per day for a double-passenger stroller**.
For those who require a stroller rental for multiple days, there is a Length of Stay rental ticket where you make a one-time payment transaction for as many days of rental that you will need. Single-passenger strollers are available for $8.00 per day and double-passenger strollers for $16.00 per day. Upon visiting a Theme Park, simply show your receipt at the stroller rental location and you will be expedited through the queue with little or no wait time.


Package Pick-Up
For your convenience, purchases made throughout the day can be delivered to special locations for pick up as you exit the Park. Purchases can also be delivered to Walt Disney World Resort hotels or shipped via UPS or FedEx.


Guest Relations
Available near the entrance to each Theme Park, you can visit these locations for dining assistance, faxes, stamps, lost & found, currency exchange and as a message center. 


ATMs
For your convenience, Automated Teller Machines are located in each Theme Park

Baby Care Centers
You can change and feed your baby at the Baby Care Centers. There is one located in each Theme Park. 

Weather
Wondering what will the weather be like during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation?
Although we cannot tell you exactly what weather to expect during your vacation, here are the average high/low temperatures, followed by the average rainfall in inches for the Orlando, Florida area during the three-month periods indicated. You should always review upcoming forecasts for the Orlando area prior to your departure.

*The summer months generally have high humidity.

Transportation and Getting Around Disney

The best way to get to Walt Disney World from the Orlando International Airport is to use Disney's Magical Express Service or an airport shuttle or car rental. With Disney's Magical Express Service you'll enjoy comfortable transportation to and from the airport in deluxe air-conditioned motor coaches. When your vacation's over, you and your bags are whisked back from your Disney Resort to the airport. Disney's Magical Express is available to all Guests staying at Disney Resorts with the exception of the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel and the Downtown Disney Resort Area Hotels.

Another recommended shuttle option from the Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World Resort is Mears Airport Shuttle. Mears Airport Shuttle is available from Orlando International Airport to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Shuttle tickets may be purchased at the time of boarding. For return to the airport, the shuttle boards at the entrance of every Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Make reservations 24 hours in advance and allow a minimum of two hours before flight time. There are many modes of transportation within the Walt Disney World Resort, including Bus, Boat and Monorail. A rundown of transportation within the resort:

By Bus:

Most areas of the Walt Disney World Resort are accessible by bus from other areas within the Resort, including Theme Parks*, Water Parks, the Disney Resorts and the Downtown Disney area. Buses travel on routes throughout the Resort and do not provide direct service between all destinations.
*Magic Kingdom Park is not accessible by bus from Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Polynesian Resort. These Resorts provide monorail transportation to the park.

By Boat:
The Magic Kingdom Park is accessible by water launch from Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Resort, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The Disney ferryboats connect the Magic Kingdom Park to the Transportation and Ticket Centre (adjacent to Magic Kingdom parking).
Epcot and Disney-MGM Studios are accessible by boat from Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Villas Resort, Disney's Yacht Club and Disney's Beach Club Resorts and the Walt Disney World Swan and Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotels.
Downtown Disney is accessible by ferryboat from Disney's Port Orleans Resort and Disney's Old Key West Resort.

By Monorail:
Disney's monorail runs between the Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Resort and the Transportation and Ticket Centre (adjacent to the Magic Kingdom parking lot). A connecting monorail takes Guests from the Transportation and Ticket Centre to Epcot.

Disney Dining

What is Priority Seating? You are encouraged to take advantage of this service to save yourself some waiting time at certain restaurants. When you call 407-939-3463, you will get a Priority Seating number. Upon your arrival at your dining location, please present your name and Priority Seating number at the podium. This is not a reservation and your party will be seated at the next available table that will accommodate your party size.

Disney World Recreation and Entertainment Information

Guests with disabilities: Information for Guests with disabilities is available at all four Disney Theme Parks. Rooms that are accessible to Guests with disabilities are available throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. A website has been created to find information specifically for Guests with disabilities.
