Rich in history, the city of Pensacola is an unhurried community with many shops, restaurants, and museums to visit. Take a tour of Pensacola on the local Trolley, visit the zoo, the lighthouse or the National Museum of Naval Aviation. The Pensacola Lighthouse which is still in use today and was built in 1859, and is open to the public for free tours.

The National Museum of Naval Aviation at the Pensacola Naval Air Station is free to visit. For those interested in aviation, this is a must-see exhibit. It is a very impressive facility with more than 130 vintage and modern military aircraft on display in a 291,000 square foot museum. Another must-see is the Blue Angels aerial acrobatics show. The Blue Angels practice weekly from March through November.

Pensacola has many wonderful parks that feature fountains, play areas for the kids and many have water access. Shopping in downtown Pensacola provides speciality shops, coffee shops, art galleries, antique stores and more.

Stroll along the Pensacola Beach Pier to see marine life such as fish, dolphins, manatees, sharks, rays, and crabs. If you need more to keep the kids happy, Pensacola offers plenty including: miniature golf, go-carts, water-sports, water-craft rentals bicycle rentals and more.
