Coconut Cove Waterpark (Boca Raton) - Rides include a 986-foot river ride, a sea pals scramble obstacle course that kids walk across, two 220-foot water slides, and a children's water playground.

Daytona Lagoon (Daytona Beach) - Water Park and Family Entertainment Center with a go-kart track, miniature golf, rock climbing, an arcade, 10 waterslides, a wave pool, a lazy river and Cast-A-Way Bay.

Quiet Waters Park (Deerfield Beach) - At this park, you can swim, fish, canoe, water-ski, camp, picnic, enjoy a playground, or play in a cool water playground called Splash Adventure, an interactive children’s water playground that allows kids to create their own fun with hand wheels and levers, water curtains, crawl tunnels, and more.

Big Kahuna’s (Destin) - More than 40 Water attractions and an Adventure Park. Wave pool, lazy river, rushing rivers, speed slides, kid-sized slides, and the biggest man-made waterfall in the world.

Adventure Landing (Jacksonville) - The Pirate's Play Village a three-story, interactive water play area has 12 slides, nozzles that squirt and spray water, and waterfalls. This park has uphill water-coaster, The Hydro Halfpipe a water thrill ride reaching 35 feet, wave pool and kiddie cove. Year-round attractions include miniture golf, laser tag, Wacky Worm roller coaster, batting cages, arcade, go-carts,and a Teddy Bear factory.

Blizzard Beach at Walt Disney world (Lake Buena Vista) - Features Wild speed slide, lazy river, wave pool, mat racing slide, tube slides, body slides, family raft ride, and interactive water play areas for younger kids. The focal point is Mount Gushmore where an actual ski lift takes guests up to its 90-foot peak where guests access a number of slides. Features the world's tallest waterslide - Summit Plummet.

Typhoon Lagoon at Walt Disney World (Lake Buena Vista) - Typhoon Lagoon has a laid-back, tropical vibe. It has nine exhilarating waterslides,a wave pool and family raft rides, but they are tucked away among a dense and beautiful canopy of flora. Ketchakiddee Creek provides youngsters with a special water play place all their own. Castaway Creek is a 2,100 foot river that carries guests leisurely around the entire perimeter of the park. The most innovative feature of Typhoon Lagoon is Shark Reef, a special area where guests can snorkel among live sharks and other tropical fish.

Wet 'n Wild Florida (Orlando) - Wet 'n Wild's world-class signature thrill rides and quality service offer something for fun-lovers of all ages, with over 30 action-packed acres of slides and flumes, surf and sun. Now part of Universal Studios. Open year-round with heated pools in the cooler months, Wet ‘n Wild is located on International Drive.

Shipwreck Island (Panama City Beach ) - 6 acre Island-theme park with thrilling rides such as the 600-foot long "White Knuckle River" tube slide with three 360-degree turns, drops and dips, a lazy river, wave pool and a special children's area.

Calypso Cove Water Park (Pompano Beach) - Features three different pools, two playgrounds, river tube ride, two four-story water slides, a concession stand, a pavilion and picnic area. The lap pool has two diving boards.

Adventure Island (Tampa) - 30 acres of water-drenched fun in the sun features the ultimate combination of high-speed thrills and tropical, tranquil surroundings for guests of all ages. slides, corkscrews, water falls, a wave pool, children’s water playground and other family Attractions such as outdoor cafes, picnic and sunbathing areas, gift shops, and a championship white-sand volleyball complex. Adjacent to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

Rapids Water Park (West Palm Beach) - Rapids Water Park has 22 acres with 19 water slides, lazy river, wave pool and the kids have their own water slides, play area and a wading pool for the smallest ones. The Big Thunder funnel is the largest water ride in Florida.

Splash Island Water Park (Winter Haven) - Splash Island is included in your regular paid Cypress Gardens admission. Polynesian-themed water park with a lazy river, wave pool, tube slides, body slides and an interactive play area.

Tips for Enjoying the Water Parks

1. Rent a locker it's worth the fee and you won't have to worry about losing any money or valuables.
2. Head for waterslides early and late in the day to avoid long lines.
3. Bring an extra towl and change of clothes.
4. Don't forget the waterproof sunscreen, sunglasses, and a visor or hat.
5. Take plenty of bottled water.
6. Put safety first and obey all posted park rules.
7. Take flip-flops or water slippers to avoid walking on hot pavement.
8. Take advantage of any shady spots and relax out of the sun whenever you can.
9. Warn children not to swallow park water.
10. Take a waterproof camera.
11. If you are not going to rent a locker take a waterproof sealable container or bag to keep money or other small valuable items protected from the water
12. Most people eat lunch between noon and 1:30 pm so plan to eat earlier or later.
